Are You SUre That's How They Go?

Okay, Okay, I know this looks promising, like Phoenix might be potty training, but really that is not the case. He is scared of the toilet I think. He just loves to wear big boy undies. He wears them backwards so that he can see the design. I think there is nothing cuter than baby bums.

Anza

The prooerty is still there. Mic said that Anza got .17 inch of rain last year. Everything is brown. All the manzanita is brown, all the weeds are brown, there is only one plant in the valley that isn't brown. Its a little scrub weed. The trees were good about 8 weeks ago when we went to check on them but someone or something has been up there tampering with things. As you can see the drip lines have been chewed apart. We couldn't figure if it was a dog or gopher or rabbit but some kind of animal has chewed all the lines. Then someone cut the wires that connect thetimer to the drip lines. Nothing was stolen or taken and the timer was not tampered with so Dave thinks that someone thought that they were doing us a favor by turning off the water to the drip lines since the lines were all destroyed. The only problem is that there were still two trees on the other side of the lines that could have been saved if they hadn't cut the lines. Sorry but the trees don't look like they are going to make it. Dave is going to try to figure something else out to water this week.

Here's To Margene and Dennis

This is Dave and I on Friday Night. It is the first time we have gone out without the kids in what seems like years! Actually it probably has really been months. We hired a baby sitter, and went out for a night on the town. I know Dennis would have loved to have been here and so he paid for dinner. If any of you want to make a trip to Califonia I'm quite certain that he will pay for your dinner. Steer Grill is sending notes to ask if the Taylors have moved or died. They are lonely, so come for a visit. I am going to Anza tomorrow so check on the blog to see the updates on the property.

No pictures just writing please

I have been thinking more and more lately about some of the goals that I set for myself way back when I had no idea what life was. I found a paper the other day with my handwriting on it in a set of old seminary scriptures. Which by the way have all been donated to aid those non readers who think that they must check out a set from the library each and every Sunday. It was some kind of goal list that I had done in Young Womens. Aside from being hilarious it was also very telling. Here are some of the goals:
  • I was to marry, in the temple, a blonde man who was tall, with blue eyes, and wonderful long curly surfer like hair, while Dave fits some of the description the hair is rapidly deteriorating and I think that without the top we might be able to get a few curls if he would quit shaving it. Somehow i don't think that I imagined a man with only a few stringy curls hanging off the sides.
  • I was to go to Europe and see the sights. I'm glad that I didn't say eat because I didn't do much of that because that cost money and I had none at the time. But I did see the sights!
  • I was to go to Jerusalem. I think that that one will have to wait until fewer people are kidnapped and beheaded in the middle east. What do you think?
  • Graduate from college. Check
  • Get my medallion. Check
  • Get and A on the geometry test on Friday... Does an A- in the class as a whole count?
  • Serve a mission. Check
  • Kiss Ian Shoenburger. Never got close. Sorry to say but I think the boat sailed on this one ladies and gentlemen. Dave doesn't really like when I kiss strange men.
  • Write a book.

There it is. Write a book! I have been talking about writing a book for years. When I started reading the Harry Potter series I was so enthralled that I was going to start right then. But all I could think of was Harry Potter. Then I talked to my old companion Rachel in June and I mentioned that I originally I thought that I would use the extra time I had when I stayed home with the kids to write. HAH I am lucky to get two lines and a picture out on a blog once a week! So I think that I am going to re-committ. Here is what I need from you. What kind of book do you think that I should write? A grown-up book? Fiction? NOn fiction? A childrens book? A childrens chapter book. A smutty romance novel? A self help book. An LDS book etc. What do you think?

Phoenix the Terrible

Well this is Phoenix at the doctors. He decided that he would eat ALL the Tylenol Junior Strength Melt-aways in the bottle they tasted so good. I guess that child proof cap was just to keep me out of the bottles, it doesn't seem to have slowed him down any. We got to the hospital and then had to wait to see if he needed any further treatment FOR 4 HOURS. After 4 hours his blood wasn't toxic enough to keep him so they sent us home. Phoenix was afraid of the bed so he hung out in his stroller. That kid is a little wierd. I am grateful to Tylenol because..... did you know that they pruposefully put few enough pills in thier bottles that if a child gets a hold of the whole bottle and takes it, it won't seriously hurt them!!?? NOw that's cool. Thanks Tylenol.

Poppy Too!

Poppy enjoyed the water fountains at Sea World. She played in those while the big girls ran around crazy.
